Catch Up.

This is a bit of a catch up cos I have been away and also lazy, sorry 'bout that. I went round Samantha's for a girly night in after golf on Friday still wearing the sports luxe look and after a K-razy night of triv and singstar I stayed the night. Don't worry though I came prepared;
I did cheat a bit cos this is actually a new skirt and not a treasure but normally I'd buy something like this cos it was half the price and then just stick it in my wardrobe and never wear it again so I'm giving myself a break. The t-shirt is something of an old favourite but just goes so well. And yes I have bought these Sunnies in black, yellow and pink. They suit me, I always break/lose them and they were cheap!

I wore this to the Parade in Cardiff for Armed Forces Day and got my very first Glimpse of some Royals, something I had successfully avoided until recently. It wasn't much of a glimpse really, just Charles and Camilla going past in a very dark car so you could barely see them. I wasn't disappointed though - there was plenty of totty in uniform to keep my eyes busy!

Any way from there it was a trip to Bridgend to spend some quality time in my friends garden. Sorry I mean quality time with my friend. We just had a really chilled out time enjoying the sunshine and some Barbecue. Yum!

Having not spent much time in my own home I spent Sunday just lazing around so no special effort required. Ditto with Monday as I spent the day dyeing my hair, cleaning and making Bolognaise, who knew it took an hour once you got to the simmering stage! I really should have read the recipe before I started.

Back to form today though and for the cinema I got out my old red bag that I used to love to carry and a fantastic bird belt:

I'm praying my roots calm down soon!

Sport Luxe.

We finally got round to going down the driving range today so I thought I'd give Sport Luxe ago. Who would have thought my wardrobe would support something so active? This look is inspired by my good friend Samantha. I'm wearing a skirt I got from my favourite shop in Street, Somerset called Aria and I'm pretty sure I haven't worn it since the day smoking was banned in England. It also features a belt I have never worn before that was on a pair of jeans my Mum gave me and a beach bag I got free with In Style.

P.S. This blog may become a case of spot the freebies - I'm a big fan. The sandals I wore in the first post were also from In Style and I dug them out last year when I was desperately trying to afford some gladiator sandals.

Serious Colour

Yesterday was a fail - sorry. There was no golf cos I still have a bad shoulder from apparently packing my bag ready for work on Monday!??? Long story. Anyway instead we organised my husbands comic collection and cleaned out the spare room and I really don't think that warranted more than my usual jeans and a t-shirt.

Instead I wore the brightest thing I own shopping in Cardiff today. I wore a dress I bought not so long ago that I always intended to wear as a day dress that could be dressed up for an evening out. However the only times I have worn it is in the evening and then it was pretty dressed down. I teamed this with what I think is the perfect accessory for this dress; a feather bando. Even as I was buying it I never thought I'd actually wear it.

I love this dress and I felt great (although part of me felt a bit of a twat cos of the bando). I even had a complement on it from a lovely lady in Lush.

I just want to talk about one thing I bought whilst in Cardiff; Wonderbra's Ultimate Strapless bra. One of the problems I have with clothes is I like a lot of strappy things but I hate strapless bras. They are either too tight, have a weird shape or just have no support what so ever. The one I use at the moment has air pads in (which are frankly unnecessary) and my boobs just sort of sit in it. There is far too much space in there. So although the wonderbra is expensive I thought it would be worth ago. It has this support system in it that is kind of like hands holding you in. Anyway I wasn't convinced by the test videos on the website so I tried it out for myself. This resulted in me jumping around in Debenhams changing rooms like a loon! I can report though that there was no hitching up need and I did not burst out of the top. Also although the bra itself looks pretty ugly it gives great shape and looks great under clothes. I recomend checking out the videos on Wonderbra's site. They are pretty representative (plus you get to see an idiot jumping up and down in a bra).

Its a Start

Ok so the grand idea is that I actually wear stuff I already own instead of leaving it to rot in my wardrobe. I have two wardrobes of clothes, two chest of drawers & a chest of drawers dedicated to accessories and what do I wear? A t-shirt, jeans and canvas trainers pretty much day in day out. No jewelery (bar my wedding ring) and no belt or accessories. And work's not that much different as illustrated left. Oh and I never change that handbag despite having two drawers full of them and some on top of my wardrobe. Its time for a change.

I've decided to start pulling stuff out of my wardrobe I never wear or bought for a daytime look but only ever wear at night (serious self esteem issues) and wear stuff that looks good.

So day one. I'm not feeling very adventurous today so I've gone for a cute cami which I love and my husband despises. Something about not liking the cut, the colour or the pattern. Any way I only really wore it whilst on holiday in Lanzarote or on a night out and haven't I haven't worn it at all this summer. This is what I've decided to wear for a trip to the hairdressers and the library - woo excitement! I will make more of an effort for my next post I swear(golf tomorrow - eek)!

Oh and P.S. this is post cut.
