To continue with the catch up I give you Amy's Birthday bbq....that was on the 25th of July.
Sorry about the hunch...heels on gravel is not the easiest thing to pull off. Also I have another confession to make, due to the fact that Amy lives up a very big hill and we walked all the way, I didn't actually wear the heels there. Also due to sitting on the ground and said gravel I didn't actually wear them a whole lot whilst I was there either. Oh its all a lie!! But my pumps really ruin this outfit.
I love that bag though; another birthday present purchased from River Island. My treasure here would be those very short shorts that I have only worn either on a night out with tights or in Lanzarote. And clothes you wear abroad just don't count.
My hair took me ages by the way so here's a close up:
The Hidden Treasures of Ginger's Wardrobe
A diary of my attempts to actually wear the clothes I own, instead of looking at them whilst they hang forlorn in my wardrobe.

Bad Blogger
Yes I admit it, I am a bad blogger. I hang my head in shame. I haven't even really done a whole lot towards creating material for my blog cos I've been somewhat down of late and to get my excuses in early I'm meant to be getting an early night so this is going to be a short blog.
So Saturday the 24th of July I went shopping in Cardiff (with my pay rise whoop!) and made the mistake of wearing strappy heels. So I thought what could be better than a pair of Camouflage plimsolls that only cost a fiver? WRONG! They tore the back of my heels to shreads. I would have been better off in the heels but I couldn't put them back on cos they've got a zip up the back of the heels that would have pressed against my severely blistered heels. I had blisters inside of blisters!
The other mistake I wore was my treasure. Its a great belt and I love it but some of the chains have broken off and it keeps slipping out of the loop and down my legs. In the end with the pain in my feet reducing my tolerance levels I took it off and put it in my bag. I also had to carry my jacket most of the time cos it was so hot so by the end of the day I had taken quite a lot off of my original outfit. I have also cheated as these pictures were taken post shopping (hence the sheen) and I added the bag I bought from Oasis (it was on sale! Honest!).
Ok more catch up tomorrow - off to bed with me.

Strutting Jacket
Its been a while since I had a bit of fun with my outfit so I brought out the 'Strutting Jacket'. Also known as the 'Getting Over Frankie Jacket'. Yes Frank, your rejection cost me £12 at C&A. And yes I do strut! Even though it was a boiling hot day when I bought this jacket I put it on immediately and strutted my way down the high street. And according to my beloved I still do this today.
Before you say it, it is NOT bad luck to open your umbrella indoors. It is a necessity so that it airs out and doesn't rust! And yes I finally succumbed to the double denim, something I swore I'd never do even in the 80's. But its alright as well as sticking to the general rule of two different colours I have my own rule. Double denim is ok so long as you have a colour to break it up. That does not mean coloured denim people. I will never go there again! (I say now.)
I wore this out whilst admiring the 'Super Dragons' in Newport yesterday and the gorgeous umbrella came in very handy (Another birthday present, thank you Becky). We didn't get round very many cos it was wet and we are lazy. Hopefully we'll get round to see the others before they are ruined (or in the case of one, illegally removed).
This is one of my favourites but then I am biased. The artist is my good friend Dom and I'm already a fan of his stuff.

Birthday
Okay so my Birthday was right at the start of the month but it took me at least a week to recover from. I haven't got an excuse for the rest of the time its taken me to update this - post birthday blues perhaps? Any who.
It was all brand new treasures in honour of my birthday and the outfit just got added to as the party went on. Not the most practical of dresses when your playing the hostess with the mostess. its very hard to carry things and use stairs with a skirt this long but I managed it.
My Mum bought me this dress and I managed to choose it in the very first shop we went in. Yes even I was amazed and I think my Mum was grateful to have avoided the usual mammoth shopping trip.
Bangles and necklace added later were from my littlest sister and the silver bracelet (just seen) is from my lovely friend Samantha.
I thought the party was a success although I should have just put all the food out at once at the rate it was being eaten and have done with it. I expected to be left with mounds of food cos I did loads but I only had enough left for a couple of burritos the next day. Largely everyone was knackered having worked on the Maindee festival all day so a lot of people left reasonable early. Well I assume they did. I didn't check my watch because my energy levels seem to be directly related to the time so if I know how late it is I'll want to go straight to bed. In the end I was up until 4 playing Rock Band.
Oh I forgot to mention the wonderbra. I also got that for my birthday and this is the first time I wore it properly. It. Is. Amazing. However I think it may be one of the only things in the universe I am allergic to. Bummer. After I wore it I had a red rash where the seams were for about to days. My Mum suggested I was allergic to latex, however I pointed out to her that I'm pretty sure I would have noticed by now! ;-) . I 'm gonna see how it goes after a few washes.

Alice in Wonderland?
First day back at work - ugh! I think I looked a little dressy and I certainly caused a stir but it was a really fun look.
Shame the pictures so lame. I was going for the white queen from Alice and Wonderland but think I come off as crazy lady trying to fly. Meh!
This is another dress I bought with the intention of being a day to night dress and yet again this is the first time I have worn it in the day time. In fact I'm pretty sure this is only the second time I've worn it since a bought it over a year ago.
This is my night time look from April 2009.
It was a silent disco in case you were wondering. Awesome night - must do it again. There is nothing funnier than seeing a room full of people dancing and singing to two different songs that you can't hear. Lol.

Catch Up.
This is a bit of a catch up cos I have been away and also lazy, sorry 'bout that. I went round Samantha's for a girly night in after golf on Friday still wearing the sports luxe look and after a K-razy night of triv and singstar I stayed the night. Don't worry though I came prepared;
I did cheat a bit cos this is actually a new skirt and not a treasure but normally I'd buy something like this cos it was half the price and then just stick it in my wardrobe and never wear it again so I'm giving myself a break. The t-shirt is something of an old favourite but just goes so well. And yes I have bought these Sunnies in black, yellow and pink. They suit me, I always break/lose them and they were cheap!
I wore this to the Parade in Cardiff for Armed Forces Day and got my very first Glimpse of some Royals, something I had successfully avoided until recently. It wasn't much of a glimpse really, just Charles and Camilla going past in a very dark car so you could barely see them. I wasn't disappointed though - there was plenty of totty in uniform to keep my eyes busy!
Any way from there it was a trip to Bridgend to spend some quality time in my friends garden. Sorry I mean quality time with my friend. We just had a really chilled out time enjoying the sunshine and some Barbecue. Yum!
Having not spent much time in my own home I spent Sunday just lazing around so no special effort required. Ditto with Monday as I spent the day dyeing my hair, cleaning and making Bolognaise, who knew it took an hour once you got to the simmering stage! I really should have read the recipe before I started.
Back to form today though and for the cinema I got out my old red bag that I used to love to carry and a fantastic bird belt:
I'm praying my roots calm down soon!

Sport Luxe.
We finally got round to going down the driving range today so I thought I'd give Sport Luxe ago. Who would have thought my wardrobe would support something so active? This look is inspired by my good friend Samantha. I'm wearing a skirt I got from my favourite shop in Street, Somerset called Aria and I'm pretty sure I haven't worn it since the day smoking was banned in England. It also features a belt I have never worn before that was on a pair of jeans my Mum gave me and a beach bag I got free with In Style.
P.S. This blog may become a case of spot the freebies - I'm a big fan. The sandals I wore in the first post were also from In Style and I dug them out last year when I was desperately trying to afford some gladiator sandals.
